1. Who we are

Cosign ("we," "us," "our") is a housing platform built for Howard University students. By using Cosign, you agree to these terms.

2. Eligibility

Cosign is intended for current and former Howard University students, faculty, and staff. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. By signing up, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate.

3. Your listings

You are responsible for the accuracy of any listing you post. You may not post listings for properties you do not have the right to sublease or offer. Fraudulent, misleading, or duplicate listings will be removed, and your account may be suspended.

4. Prohibited conduct

You agree not to:

• Post false, misleading, or fraudulent listings
• Use Cosign to harass, threaten, or discriminate against other users
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any account or system
• Use automated tools to scrape or extract data from the platform
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with Howard University

5. Transactions happen off-platform

Cosign is a discovery and communication tool. We are not a party to any rental agreements, sublease contracts, or financial transactions between users. We do not hold security deposits, collect rent, or guarantee any listing. Always sign a written lease and verify the property before making any payment.

6. Limitation of liability

Cosign is provided "as is." We make no warranties about the accuracy of listings or the conduct of users. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the platform or any transactions you enter into as a result of using it.

7. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of Cosign after changes are posted means you accept the updated terms.
